    ... narrow road . Had to put our faith in driver and snooze, but woke every now and then , freaked and then snoozed again :-) . Had a walk on the beach this morning and another drive this afternoon ( not as hair raising in daylight )! Amazing culture change from Singapore as you will see! Fish markets in the morning ...

    ... ground and pulled over to the side near a police outpost. Much against the wishes of my brain, I splashed the water on the front & rear discs and the callipers watched it convert to steam instantaneously. A couple of policemen sitting outside cautioned me that the road gradient was even steeper further up and that I be a little careful. Wished my discs good luck and off I went!

    If you go to Ujung Genteng, West Java, Indonesia, before hitting the turtle beach, look for Amanda Resorts on the left side of the road just in the middle of the coconut plantation. Walk through the plantation and you will find the "Tanah Lot" of West Java ...

    ... It tasted perfumy and tickled my tongue for minutes afterwards. This is also how I came across delightful warm bread rolls filled with beans which I thought were meat until Nasreen explained, wasn’t.

    In the mountains it seemed a waste of time to sit in our room even if it was pouring. So we found a cafe to just sit and observe. Just outside the hotel grounds there is a parking lot with lots of local cafes surrounding it. It doesn’t look like much ...
