... sea wasn't as choppy as we had thought.....until we saw the biggest wave either of us had ever seen coming towards us! It was so big it completely blocked out our view of the horizon! Kevin's eyes were popping out his head like he had seen a ghost! Thankfully we got through it although the boat did lean right over. Such a relief to finally make it to Sanur! Headed straight for our hostel, a really lovely place. Julie was suffering a bit from heatstroke from ...

Hmmmm lots of thinking and planning to do! Enjoying our last night in our lovely room before moving on to, hopefully, our final ...

Went to the beach, not as nice as Gilis or as I'd expected. Nevertheless we then went for some lunch and chilled around the pool for the afternoon. Got the beers in for dinner and went straight to Sky Garden. Cool club with lots of floors, roof top best one. Smashed rum and cokes and lost two English girls whilst pat went off with oldie to Seminyak! Long way ...

    Komodo day 3

A travel blog entry by alexkennewell1 on Aug 30, 2013

A sleepless night with the engine rattling on. We pulled up to Gilli Laba to climb the hill. Amazing views across the nearby bays, also within view of Komodo island. Snorkelled a bit before reaching Pink beach. Great snorkelling here, spotting several ...
