... to grab a few hours of sheltered sleep, unlike the open tarp he is used to sleeping under. With that my quiet few hours were replaced by his loud snoring and the sounds of others coming back from failed attempts at making summit. I laid there cold but smiling knowing he was probably having one of his best sleeps in a long time and well that I was here and had come this far even without the top it was enough for me this time. At the hostel we met Cayley and Zoey, two fun British girls who made me crack up. Our group of 7 all walked along the beach looking for a restaurant. We eventually found one we thought looked half decent... We were wrong. The first person to get their food had finished before the ...

Lombok, Indonesia: Bargain Bed Bugs

... the world's slowest boat. But it was a good trip. Terribly uncomfortable but good. I snoozed for a bit. Blogged for a bit. Three and a half hours later we were docking on Lombok. Off ferry and onto another bus. Pleased we had tickets as those who didn't were told they weren't allowed on the bus despite the fact it wasn't full. I really don't understand Indo's take on tourism. The hour and a half drive to Senggigi was very pretty. Palm trees, cows, rice fields and ...
