Finding the best mode of transportation in Eastern Europe isn't as easy as we thought it would be. We had been planning to take trains, but were advised against this as they are old and uncomfortable, rarely on schedule, and thieves can be a problem, especially on overnight trains. Much different from the system in Western Europe. We were happy to get a native Serbian's advice as we hadn't booked anything after Belgrade.
