    Tolles Hotel/Apartment

    from

    from

    Absolument fantastique !

    from

I proprietari era sempre gentili e disponibili.

    Great Hotel/Apartment

    from

Stayed at Britselei 37, while doing a Triathlon in Antwerp. The apartment was very well furnished with excellent facilities. The owners were at all times very friendly and helpful. They really made an effort to ensure I had a pleasant stay. Britselei 37 is about a 10-15min walk from the heart of Antwerp.

    Absolutely phantastic!

    from

we stayed at the britselei 37 with our 4 month old baby. the set up was perfect, the rooms all appear to consist of a living / kitchen area, a spacious bedroom and a bathroom. everything was extremely clean, new, the furniture tasteful, and a comp fridge filled with wine, water, juice, yoghurt, etc. the hotel does not have a restaurant but to be honest we did not miss this at all as we were given bread, spreads and had fresh croissants delivered to our room for breakfast. there was absolutely nothing i could complain about, i have not yet stayed at a better, more beautiful and clean hotel so far. while it is not located right in next to the old church, the walk to most attractions is extremely short. highly recommended!

    ¡absolutamente fantástico!

    from

    from

    Friendly owners, beautiful room

    from

The hotel rooms are in a grand, converted townhouse which looks to be late 1800's or early 1900's. Our room had 14 foot ceilings with beautiful painted decoration, 2 non-working original fireplaces, high windows and original hardwood floors with inlay.

The owners installed small, modern kitchens stocked with an espresso machine (they include the coffee) and a refrigerator with beer and wine! The bathrooms are also modern and include 2 sinks.

The owners went out of their way to make car, dinner and taxi reservations for my wife and me. The restaurant choice was amazing. And I even came home to dried and folded clothes after doing some "emergency" wash in the sink.

For business, the free internet and car service made my stay quite easy. This is much better value for money than most any hotel I've stayed in.

    Highly recommended.

There was a lot of fun going on as you can imagine and the guest of honour was the Eurovision winner (the bearded lady) getting lots of cheers as well. After watching for a while we went off looking at special beers with one in particular for John called Kwak. Lots of Belgian beers have their own very distinctive glass Kwak looks like a pint ...

... We went under the lowest bridge and one which has not been touched since it was built. A pretty city and seemed cleaner than Bruxelles.

We caught the us back to the station and managed to get the 3:36 train back to Bruxelles. We had no idea how to get back to Avenue Louise, so we just went for a wander. We tried to find the Grand Place which is a well known spot in Bruxelles, but missed it. A shame because it is supposed to be something special - ...

    ... a good thing,
as looking out the window we could see the wings were covered in ice. Not really conducive to safe flight! However they had a solution to this - we went
through a plane wash on our way to take off - yep trucks came out with big
sprays on them and washed the wings and tail down with antifreeze, definitely
not something we need to worry about in Australia!
