    Tolles Hotel/Apartment

I proprietari era sempre gentili e disponibili.

    Great Hotel/Apartment

Stayed at Britselei 37, while doing a Triathlon in Antwerp. The apartment was very well furnished with excellent facilities. The owners were at all times very friendly and helpful. They really made an effort to ensure I had a pleasant stay. Britselei 37 is about a 10-15min walk from the heart of Antwerp.

    Absolutely phantastic!

we stayed at the britselei 37 with our 4 month old baby. the set up was perfect, the rooms all appear to consist of a living / kitchen area, a spacious bedroom and a bathroom. everything was extremely clean, new, the furniture tasteful, and a comp fridge filled with wine, water, juice, yoghurt, etc. the hotel does not have a restaurant but to be honest we did not miss this at all as we were given bread, spreads and had fresh croissants delivered to our room for breakfast. there was absolutely nothing i could complain about, i have not yet stayed at a better, more beautiful and clean hotel so far. while it is not located right in next to the old church, the walk to most attractions is extremely short. highly recommended!

    Friendly owners, beautiful room

The hotel rooms are in a grand, converted townhouse which looks to be late 1800's or early 1900's. Our room had 14 foot ceilings with beautiful painted decoration, 2 non-working original fireplaces, high windows and original hardwood floors with inlay.

The owners installed small, modern kitchens stocked with an espresso machine (they include the coffee) and a refrigerator with beer and wine! The bathrooms are also modern and include 2 sinks.

The owners went out of their way to make car, dinner and taxi reservations for my wife and me. The restaurant choice was amazing. And I even came home to dried and folded clothes after doing some "emergency" wash in the sink.

For business, the free internet and car service made my stay quite easy. This is much better value for money than most any hotel I've stayed in.

    Highly recommended.

Our first official 'work' day in Europe started with a day at BCD Travel Headquaters in Utrecht. Our first meeting was with Jean Paul van Lierop, the Director of CTSS. It was interesting to hear him speak about what they do in his department, especially after we had visited the MSC in Bangalore.

Heinz Jennewein, SVP for the South West region in Europe, spoke to us about the region he is responsible for next. He also talked a bit about the BCD culture that has kept ...

... is the first church over in Europe we had been asked to pay to go in.

Surrounding the cathedral we saw a wonderful old open top charabanc bus with 2 horses to pull it, to take tourists on a trip. On these cobbled streets it would certainly be a very bumpy ride as there were no tires on the wheels! There was a yellow tour bus from the 1930s advertised but we did not see it.

... usually starts out in French before switching to English. But even to say hello idk which to use. Cause Brussels is all French but we live in the suburbs and everything that's not in the city is Dutch. There is apparently a line to divide french\dutch speak but idk where that is.

So that's me up til now. Hopefully we can get our base pass tomorrow so we don't have to leave our passport at the gate. Also our PC is coming so we might go get Belgian phones.

    ... where possible.

After sorting out the baby seat logistics we headed for Brussels, via Villers-Bretonneux, which you may know as a famous WWI Australian battlefield site. Here the counter offensive actions of Australian forces saved this small sleepy French town of Villers-Bretonneux from being over run. The town of Villers-Bretonneux seems eternally grateful. There main street is named Melbourne St, a cemetery is named ...
