... inside, no big deal). Ok, duped twice. Was that it, nope. Before I got to the hotel, the taxi driver ripped me off big time. Normally I would walk, or even pay attention to Google Maps on my phone, yet again, I was exhausted. He took me in circles and choose crowded streets, for an enormous fare. ... find the closest hotel here in Košice. Budapest will be there tomorrow, right? So now I have tonight, and tomorrow until my train leaves at 6:00pm to explore this cool city center. ... the main square after sunrise and after getting Euros at an ATM. We're back to the Euros here, but we'll be hitting countries again that don't use it. That means prices are a bit higher, but still quite reasonable for Europe.

We walked around a bit and took photos of the buildings and fountains. They also have a lovely Opera House, and it was completed at about the same time as the ones in Lviv, Budapest, and Vienna.

... us continued to Sarospatak to tour the Rakoczi family castle. The village is cute and the streets leading up to the castle are lined with vendors selling everything from candy to langos (fried bread) to souvenirs. The castle itself is well maintained, with an extensive park surrounding it. There were several places where you could see the depth of the walls, which must have been at least 3 or 4 feet thick.
