Although it was really, really hot that day and although being scared to death by a water dragon, I thought it was a snake and cscreamed like crazy... really embarassing (you can't be careful enough with those snakes here!) it was a great day in the amazing bushes of the Blue Mountains!
Saturday was a chill day and Sunday a Koala Park day. Although I always feel sorry for these poor beings ...

Our morning started with a 6am text. I tried to ignore it but after 10 minutes got up to read a message telling us our flight had been delayed till 2pm this afternoon. Back to bed to think about this - is it for real?? check the Qantas webpage - yes, it's real. ... were shown Mrs. McQuarrie’s Chair, a ledge formed in solid rock where former Governor Lachlan McQuarrie’s wife, Elizabeth, was said to come down regularly to sit and look out over the harbour. Soon, we were snuggled back in the car, heading for the eastern suburbs of Sydney to see the famous beach areas, including the well known Bondi Beach. Every beach was as spectacular as the last…beautiful sand, clear water, large rollers coming ...

A travel blog entry by smithputney on Aug 22, 2015

We had breakfast in the room again, then spent a fairly frantic time sorting through and repacking stuff. The most fragile items went into hand luggage and we also kept out the wooden items in case Australian customs wanted to inspect them. I got rid of the wool I had been carrying inb my pocket since the shearing we watched in Queenstown as we didn't think that would meet with their approval. The poor porter who came to store our bags only had a small trolley and had to ...
