A travel blog entry by tmerrien on Oct 12, 2013

Got up at 7.45 when the drunk English guy who had turned up the night before said he wanted to get some breakfast. He was working in Bangkok and came to Pattaya to see some mates for the weekend. As he said he'd pay for mine if I came along I took him up on the offer. Jumped on the back of his rented scooter and zoomed off into town, no crash helmet and wearing shorts (this guy earlier said he knew it was bad but one of his favourite things to do in thailand was get trashed and ride ...

I slept the whole way to Bangkok then we hopped on a bus to pattaya, again i slept. We got to Pattaya without knowing where to stay so with our giant backpacks on we started hotel searching. the prices were significantly more than anywhere we had stayed before, finally we caved in at about $20 ...
