    ... was ahead we went where we saw a wc stop. There was one of the many roadside diners there. Lovely girl working at Bobs Diner. Mostly burgers and chips etc on menu but there was soup and a bun so we opted for that. Piping hot soup. Lovely. At the beginning of the road which runs alongside Hadrian's wall we came to the roman museum which we stopped at.     ... Abbey (now in ruins but very impressive nonetheless), a mill with waterwheel, and a water garden. The cost would have been £24.20 for the two of us but free to NT members.
