... of the lobby. The hotel is reminiscent of a Swiss Chalet, and the setting is simply amazing. Nicole and William went for a 3 mile run while the rest checked out the area a bit. Day 16 – Going to the Sun

... into the US. We saw several signs indicating that the crossing had limited hours. At the crossing we asked the border guard what happens after hours? He said "We turn the bears loose". Ummm… okay.

Once in the great state of Montana we found two things that we hadn’t seen in years. Speed limit signs that say “70” and “75”. We also saw bikers (not motorcyclists… there is a difference) ...

... two dollar coins are called Two-nies”) and when you return the cart, as you shove in into the queue of carts, your Loonie pops out. This was explained to us as a way to get people to return their carts to the store instead of leaving them strewn about the parking lot.

Another highway sign we see periodically is “Important Intersection Ahead”. These are setup just before major highway interchanges, which sometimes means the road widens to allow a left turn ...

Day 14 - Dodging raindrops

... to the bone. I guess getting caught by surprise rain storms is not all that unusual around here. Make sure to look at the video we posted on You Tube. You can hear the thunder and, near the end of the video you’ll see our poor bikes getting hammered.

About an hour later and with blue skies on the horizon, we suited up (wearing rain gear just in case) and continued on our trek to Pincher Creek.
