Still, even if the beaches here aren't the most beautiful, what better way is there to cool off, than a refreshing dip in the Aegean? We couldn't wait to get into the water after a hot morning of sightseeing in Oia, a long drive out to the Akrotiri Peninsula, and a short but hot hike over some rocks to Red Beach. There is nothing better than taking a dip in the ocean on a hot day ... until I reached down into my pocket and realized I forgot ...

... eruption. Earthquake activity has increased dramatically and reached the 5.0 magnitude range in 2011. The center island, Nea Kameni, also rose 14 cm in less than one year. While on our visit to this island, we observed active vents of steam, sulfur dioxide and other gases (luckily, not carbon monoxide J). Around the vents, we saw sulfur and gypsum crystallizing at the vent openings. They were warm, but not too hot to prevent ...

As I was getting off the donkey a man and a woman were walking down the stairs and he slipped and fell twisting his ankle, I went to help and somehow made the donkey man understand that this man needed a ...

After the ceremony our parents threw flower pedals and we all had a spoonful of honey an almonds which is tradition in Greece as well. Honey means to have a sweet life and the almonds symbolizes fertility. We had yogurt covered almonds but didn't even get to taste them as it was time to sign the papers to make it legally official. The sun was soon setting so we went around Oia to take pictures.

We walked down the narrow streets ...

This is a short and sweet blog.

Today we drove on our ATV to Oia were Sean's are staying and they rented an ATV as well and we drove to a vineyard for a wine tasting. It was a sunny day so we tasted outside.

After this we drove to Fira on a nice and winding road. We walked around Fira and looked at all the little shops and viewed ...
