    ... theme with all of them has been that they all have "onsen" (natural mineral hot springs), which has been a blessing to relax in at end of a hard days walk! Apparently the priorities for the Japanese with regards to their hotels are food and "onsen", both being national obsessions!     ... hills (Shikaisai no oka). There are colorful flowers row after row on the hill and people are so excited and continuously taking photos. I visited the alpaca farm where those cute animals are fed cabbage by the tourists who are so eager to take photos with them.     On our way to Biei, where the Blue Pond is, we got surprised by the ocean of flowers on the side of the road. The colours of the flowers are so bright and go in waves over the hill.
