We left Krabi in the morning for Koh Lanta, a stretch of land to the South East which is quite island-esque due to it's long thin shape and beachy edges. It isn't attached to the mainland so our journey consisted off waiting for long periods of time at what looked like a road that lead straight into a river, however said road broke away and it turns out we were on a boat ...

... quite dramatically we got into our swimmers and grabbed some loungers by the pool which is where we spent the rest of the afternoon. The sun was out with blue skies which we hadn't seen in a while - to begin with we could barely manage 10minutes of sunbathing before having to go for a dip in the pool. Shutters were down on shops, ************e on the road, it was sort of creepy. This huge I and ...

... haven away from pretty much everything apart from the Gecko’s, the birds, flowers and a few locals around. The French owner of the house, Christine, her Thai husband, Yaya and their son, and dog are all lovely and gave us a friendly, warm welcome to our new home for a week. We’ve not really used airbnb so far as some place have been too expensive for us to consider, but this time around the house is a perfect fit. So perfect does this shoe fit, that we ...

... I put in place my technique of breathing from the previous night and it worked! I then somehow felt very nervous of doing it again at six meters down. She asked me if I wanted to try as part of the test and overwhelmed temporarily by fear I said no! Thinking I was free of the task I felt happy I had got a far as I could have done but a growing confidence started to spread across me..."I've done it before, why not again?! I can do this now, I have mastered it, now I ...
