We are waiting in a little Hotel near Gatwick to head to Avoriaz, via Geneva, in the morning. The snow is melting! They have lost 1/2 a metre in the last week. This link will get you the webcam

Our first full day in London. I woke up feeling relatively normal, which was a relief. Breakfast was included in our hotel rate, so we didn't have to go anywhere. Speaking of the hotel, you'd think our room would have a fridge wouldn't you? Maybe this is just an Australian thing, because it's not something we'd even thought about. However, at this hotel, you had to ask for a room with a fridge in it. We didn't, so no fridge for us. Not a major deal ...

... a Viking village, smells and all. The centre wasn't quite as interesting as I'd hoped it to be, possibly from the need to keep it child friendly. I then further explored York with no real direction and decided to have a rest for the afternoon as the day wasn't that nice. Other than eating some average Mediterranean food for dinner the rest of the day was uneventful other than eating almost an entire packet of fudge I had bought the previous day.
