    ... to see my passport and then pay an entrance fee of 10 euro. No way am I paying them to have the privilege to taking my money, just seems wrong.
    Coming into Venice, I recall many movies where there was the big boat chase around the canals. I am hoping to see one of these, but Wendy tells me you cannot believe everything in movies, bugger.
    first meal in Italy was bruschetta and lasagna. Just had to do it.pasta tomorrow, and pizza the next night.

    ... our train to Venezia Santa Lucia. Misjudging how long it would take us to get to the station, we rushed from platform to platform, finally finding our train and boarding five minutes before departure. Wiping our brows as we found our seats, we congratulated ourselves for making it. We then proceeded to sit on the platform through a 15 minute delay. Ah well.
