... 20 year olds hanging out in what I would call gothic attire. As I was doing laundry they would in turn just scream - not in pain or for help, just like releasing frustration at the world. My thought is maybe they are just trying to scare the tourists - it was beginning to work on me. I finished and ensured I was on the other side of the street with other tourists when I passed this crew. Made it to the hotel, and had a nice club sandwich and beer at the Dominican Hotel. Great night ...

... we saw the mannekin pis, a statue of a boy peeing. It was smaller than we thought and we really did not see what the fascination with this statue is all about. Different countries have gifted outfits for the statue to wear at certain times of the year, but today he was in his naked stone glory. ... into the biggest city wide “car boot sale” you have ever seen and our only purchase being a couple of yards of fine net curtain (to be turned into fly screen for the hatches and door). We had a bratwurst sausage for our lunch which was absolutely lovely and Isi had to follow it with a big ice cream! (see picture)

... train was quickest and a reasonable €5 each, each way (in England all the stuff and nonsense penalising people because they haven't bought a ticket 3 months in advance with 18 carat gold on acceptable on the day (John’s rant of the day).
