      ... with a little English you find that hand movements and pointing takes over- everyone was very friendly and I got there without any trouble.

      The zoo is your typical zoo with maybe more monkeys, snakes and spiders but all good- it must have been the school excursion day because the place was swamped with school children.

      ... we met up with Eliot for dinner at Speranza, a pizzeria recommended by the Lonely Planet. Sao Paulo claims to have better pizzas than Italy - didn't quite agree this time!

      On board a surprisingly comfy bus, we began a 12 hour journey to Florianopolis, our final beach stop in Brazil. More to follow later!
