    First stop: Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum. Ripley's has nothing to do with St. Augustine, but that doesn't keep it from being a popular attraction here. It bills itself as an "odditorium," and that's just about right. Some of the exhibits are curiosities, like the two-headed lamb (stuffed). Others are downright disgusting and won't be described here.

    We are just beginning to pack and prepare for the trip. We've been talking about it for so long, and now it's just days away. I can't believe it is finally here! We have lots to get ready, but soon we'll be on our way, with literally nothing more than the clothes on our backs. The thought is so freeing.

    We were recommended by Steve and this very nice police officer we saw yesterday to go to St Augustine.This was discovered by the Spaniards in 1565 and is the oldest city in the states...we thought we must see this, and we would pop in on our way to Savannah.     We must recommend the DiVirgilio Bed & Breakfast. It was fantastic. We cannot give it enough stars! Not only were the accommodation wonderful but they actually made you feel like family!
