      Very stormy day in Charleston, SC today (and for the last 3 days in a row); and forecasted to be stormy right through Wed. So making today a driving day!!!

      Charleston is affectionately known as "the low country", because the streets pretty much flood and close down whenever it rains an inch or more. Brilliant.

      ... of bread, they served complimentary hush puppies that were SO good. This was probably the best meal we've had so far and exactly the type of restaurant we keep looking for. When I paid the bill and told the lady how much we liked the dinner; she told me to tell my friends about their place. I said most of our friends were in the Northwest but we'd tell them anyway AND that it would be worth the trip.

      ... because they were incredible. I would keep that place in mind for retirement. It was still a little chilly and windy so laying out on the actual beach wasn't the best option but the pool was seaside so we still enjoyed the sounds and smells of the ocean while laying around the hotel pool.
