... to find it didn't open until 10am!
Now this mall is insane - seriously huge. ( so is Burj Khalifa - that building is so big I struggled to even get it in the photo properly lol) Has an indoor ice skating rink, aquarium, it's own dinosaur fossil, and a massive water fall.
However we did learn the hard way - that it has a dress code too. Dubai as you know is an Arab country, but they aren't usually too fussed on what tourists wear....but Dubai ...

... 20mins under water seeing sharks and every kind of aquarium life you can imagine.

Don’t mess around though :o I started doing kicks in the water and fell over and nearly lost my helmet. Proper panic stations when I was that deep down, Luckily the Scuba instructor came to my rescue.

I was lucky I had friends to show me the way but I researched a lot myself and it you done an itinerary like this and enjoying living fast them this is what I would do again ...

As much as our parents tell us no to talk to strangers when we're young, this rule does not apply during travel. Today started with class, followed by a travel scavenger hunt which sent us searching both for things we knew by name, and even photographs of things that were unfamiliar to us. ... the famous Atlantis, allowed us to take a quick peek at the foyer - suffice it to say we felt very under dressed in our trackie dacks with these wealthy people in evening gowns, killer heels and jewels. Our ""squeezing of the lemon" meant we only got to bed just before 1 am, however as my good friend Carol always says - YOLO (You only live once!).
The rest of the trip was uneventful if long and it was wonderful to be met by Derric at the airport.
