Today we caught an early greyhound to Byron Bay. It was a pleasant surprise a pretty town with no skyscrapers in sight. After a forty minute walk we arrived at an apartment. It was perfect! A large communal lounge, kitchen, dinner along with a comfortable bedroom with ensuite. There is even an outdoor swimming pool. ... We got parked up right on the promenade at Main Beach and hit the sand. The waves were lined densely with surfers of all shapes and sizes, ages and abilities. Nonchalantly flinging a soft rugby ball about trying not to hit anyone is about as active as we get in such humidity. Lunch was pretty unreal. After waking up shattered again I got up and had breakfast in the sun which was nice, my plan for today was to go to the lighthouse, be nice to have a walk.. So I started on my way taking a causal stroll but it was a much more of an intense walk than I thought!
