    ... a really nice 15 minute walk along the beach to town. The resort also had a free bike hire so we went off exploring on those one day (but it was too hot so we didn't get very far!) Our main activity in Byron was our last package on the oz experience, a half day surf lesson. We went open minded, not really sure whether we would enjoy it or how easy it would be- it was not easy!
