... We were shocked. We went in and had sea view seats and ordered French Onion soup which had a layer of Gruyere cheese on top. Then we had an appetiser given to had of sorbet to clean our pallets apparently. Followed by steak. Which was really reasonable and probably the only time I might afford it. It was Huge!!! And so here we sit this St. Paddy's Monday at Marina Jacks in Sarasota, snug as bugs in our warm boat on this cold, wet day. To warm the insides, First Mate is going to whip up some deer meat stew (yum, yum!) and recall those funny but kind folks in Carabelle who so thoughtfully gave us the meat as a gift before we made the Crossing. Seems like ages ago.

... way down the road a bit and found a beach access for an hour on the beach chairs watching the gentle surf. Not many people ....hurray for slow season! Left the beautiful, sunny, breezy beach to drive back towards Orlando and right into a rainstorm. Oh well, so much for the sun! Relaxed in the evening with some good ...
