We walked further into the city through a park, and asked for directions from a couple of guards. After pointing out where to go one of them asked how old I was. ... ruins celebrating Augustus and of course, the place where we were taken by our taxi and where we were to spend the night - the Ankara Castle. The taxi stopped and the driver told us that we were to walk the rest of the way through the citadel gates to our hotel - the Angora House Hotel. The hotel had been an Anatolian Mansion and has been renovated into a boutique hotel. The furniture and fabrics decorating our room were plush reminders of Ottoman opulence. ...

Well, we have changed our minds so many times about which way to go to India we are dizzy. Initially we were going through Iran and Pakistan. That is now totally out of the question, we cannot get a visa for Iran anymore, not if you are British, Canadian or American !!! Also the Iran Pakistan border is now too dangerous So, we decided we would fly from Istanbul to Katmandu, hm I think not. The only company who will quote us is James Cargo and they want us to ride the bike to Sophia ...
