We stayed here as part of a tour but felt trapped by the location and lack of nearby alternative amenities. If you stay here you have to depend on the hotels occasional waterfront shuttles (or pay taxis), eat at their restaurant (good, but not Kuching's best), pay their outrageous laundry fees (if you need to refresh like we did) and hang out at the hotel in the evenings (shuttle stops running). Otherwise its tired and poorly maintained (needs paint, repairs, etc) but clean and provides good friendly service.

In my opinion the hotel cost is also high given the location, age, low level of maintenance and amenities. We liked being near the waterfront in a higher class hotel for the same rate better.

Haley & I have joined with 7 others for our own itinerary consisting of a night at Monkee Bar & Havana Club on …

Whilst I did by best (7 pieces of chicken) and Gem and Bardy helped out too (see photo), there remained a family sized helping of chicken as we rushed off to get on the plane. Judging by the increased rate of photographs of Bardy, the Malaysian travellers appeared to be entertained by our ...
