We stayed here as part of a tour but felt trapped by the location and lack of nearby alternative amenities. If you stay here you have to depend on the hotels occasional waterfront shuttles (or pay taxis), eat at their restaurant (good, but not Kuching's best), pay their outrageous laundry fees (if you need to refresh like we did) and hang out at the hotel in the evenings (shuttle stops running). Otherwise its tired and poorly maintained (needs paint, repairs, etc) but clean and provides good friendly service.

In my opinion the hotel cost is also high given the location, age, low level of maintenance and amenities. We liked being near the waterfront in a higher class hotel for the same rate better.

The tablets are not water soluble and the powder sinks so we had to spoon it into the syringe and then suck up the milkshake. We think he swallowed what wasn't left in the syringe or bowl or on the spoons used to crush and scoop or dribbled out. But it was impossible to clean the syringe adequately and he now won't ...
