"Today Just Doesn't Make Any Sense"
... over 500 patients total for the circumcisions, general checkups and dental exams (needless to say, it was chaotic, hot and busy).
After Medical Mission Day, we came back to Tacloban for a few minutes to grab our bags and then hop in the van that took us to Padre Burgos. The van ride was long but absolutely, 100% worth it. It was dark when we got to our resort, Kuting Reef, so we couldn't see much but I could tell we wouldn't be disappointed in the morning. They made us ...
Circumcision Anyone?
... in one piece. It was my goal to ride every form of transportation here. The only one I have left is the carabao. This however we just found out today people ride and it looks like a combination of a cow, ram, and horse. I don't think I will be able to check that one off my list. Yes we want to work out, but more importantly they have running water for showers. After almost three days of ...
Our First Full Day in Tacloban City
One word describes my experience in the Philippines so far: incredible.
We had an early morning wake up call by the lovely roosters around 4:30am. Kelsey, Anna, Gabby and myself are all staying in the same room (a little cramped but it's nice to be able to hang out with some of the girls) after an eventful first night. Our homestay provided breakfast before we left on our journey to find Robinson's (the local grocery store/shopping ...
