... We went to ask our hosts upstairs who came down with a broom ready for attack! It wasn't poisonous or venomous they assured us but Rae admitted she had never seen one so large....eeeek! They clobbered it with the broom and disposed of it - poor spider! About 7 minutes later we saw another one, equally large! Mike clobbered it with my flip flop! It was gigantic! I made no squeaks or squawks but I did then check Rafey was ok continually through the night - it was like going back ...

Today we prepared properly (took the water we’d commited to on our last big walk - and brought rain coats) and set out to drive the ‘Waterfall Way’, a scenic drive up into the mountains south of Coffs Harbour. Our destination was Dorrigo National Park Rainforest Centre, where we were going to do a nice little walk through a real rainforest.

... on Friday 4th. After breakfast and my 2nd sleep of the morning, it was time to enter the Coffs Harbour Running Festival online. I had wanted to enter the 10km event but this cost $30 and as a backpacker, I found it slightly too steep. Instead, l paid $20 to enter the 5km. Just because the weekend is over doesn't mean the fun stops here! Ang and Jude stayed the night in red rock with us after we got back from cyndis birthday party.
