Arrived in Prague, dropped our bags and began our explorations by foot. Headed into old town. Foods stalls are in full show, aromas and colours are tantalising and the crowds are happy - spit roast pig, every type of potato, saukraut, roast veggies, paella, sausages, gigantic doughnut things on a stick, chocolate covered everything's in all sorts of shapes and sizes, pastries, breads, ice cream, sorbet and unlimited choice of beer or wine. ... we could hear the sound blasting from the basement floor. They made a bit of a fuzz about my pocket knife (which I always forget I have with me), so I just dropped it with them and we went down to check the dance floor.
It was desolated. Maybe some twenty people inside, which was like nothing because the place was quite spacious and square, so by natural behaviour people were standing around the corners, instantly making it awkward.

... We got to the Elbe shortly before we arrived in Wittenberg – the Elbe river was enormous, covering at least two kilometres. We could see teams of people filling sandbags. However we crossed the river safely and then the train had another (unscheduled) stop in Wittenberg.
