... Old Town Square. fantastic atmosphere, drank beer and potato salad with bacon. Last day was to Sarka Valley and that was an awesome day. Blue sky and the hike was not too long. Scenery was also nice and it was a sunny day. Got myself an ice-cream after the hike. Yumz. Took the coach back at 5pm. Coach was so stuff and hot as the air conditioning unit was not properly switch on and everyone was feeling it but was rectified after I highlighted to the driver.

... by Simon it was so neat - not. 1107 is just by the lifts and as each floor has 100 rooms built around a central atrium we had a wee walk as 1048 was on the far side - going left is a slightly shorter walk by 5metres than going right.

All together the mood was a little depressive as everyone was focused on getting their moneys worth (the ticket was 37 Euros). After dinner it was good to head up top and take a look at the skyline at night. It was cool as the lights were shimmering on the water's surface creating paterns and lines.

The cruise finished at 10pm and it was time to head back home. Not all days are so busy!

... south and discovered the Vysehrad, the oldest Castle complex built atop a massive hill. It contains a beautiful cool garden and several buildings including the Basilica of St Peter and St Paul. Beside the church was a treat (for me) - another cemetery. The Vysehrad Cemetery was established in 1869 and is filled with locally famous artists, scientists, politicians and social elite. Some monuments are very witty. I have included a separate ...

... I half expected a vampire to sit atop one of the spires of the Church of Our Lady before Týn, his cloak whipping around him in the rain. We explored the Jewish quarter, where the legendary Golem roamed. What was supposed to be a nice walk to the castle ended up in a full day hike through parks and forests. We ended up bundu bashing back to the hostel in time for our night bus. This bus didn't have a TV. I felt cheated. ...
