    Our friend Alice who is living and working as a nanny in Italy had contacted us asking if we would be keen to meet up somewhere for her 25th birthday ...... after a few ideas and back and forth we all decided on Prague. We had heard so many good things about Prague so Glen Kelly and I booked some flights and an apartment and were on our way to meet Alice!!!

    ... little pieces of starchy heaven. It was a shame that such a lovely meal was ruined by one incredibly rude waitress who treated us as if we didn’t deserve to be there and tried to mark our bill up.

    We get to our new hostel and have to wait to check-in so we go and do laundry. The laundry place was a good thirty minute walk. Oh well, we have a whole new wardrobe now! By the time we get back we check in and head off to the train station to get our reservations to Italy. The tram pulls up to the train station in the exact first spot we were at last night!     ... right up against the bars. He let the boys touch him and held Ethan's finger. Amazingly, we were the only ones there at the time, so it was a cool experience! All and all it was a decent way to kill a few hours - and we got a ride a bus :)

    Mike has a group working for his part of Cisco here and we had dinner with a few local people and their wives. The boys were on their own and metro-ed themselves to dinner and back (alone)!

    ... were actually worth seeing. The first is the big church in the main square. But this building is like any of the other hundreds of churches around Europe that I have seen. Even here though much of the church was modern. Some of the big stained glass windows has clearly been replaced with modern stained glass. Many of the tombs were from the late 80s and early 90s. The place had lost some of it's charm. Plus the crowds were unbearable. ...
