... were ok. Not desperate to have them again. We happened to be wandering past the clock on the side of the town hall just before 9pm and joined the crowds of people waiting for the clock to chime. The clock was surprisingly low down - almost at street level! It is called the Astronomical clock as it tells sunrise, sunset, months, seasons and the time. When 9pm arrived, a small bell was ringing - pulled by a skeleton. Small windows opened at the top and small figures ...

... As he started singing "Imagine" the tourists just stood so awkwardly in the background and only joined in during the chorus but they clearly didn't know the lyrics. It was possibly one of the most awkward renditions I have ever seen. We couldn't handle it anymore so we continued walking and climbed up the stairs to Charles Bridge and had a leisurely stroll back to the main city centre (along with all the hundreds of other tourists).

... Quite nice. Sparse, almost Art Deco design, in a strange neighbourhood which combines amazing antique shops selling genuine His Master's Voice gramophones, and Russian Military uniforms and weapons, with stores peddling leather bondage and fetish! Dinner in an American Style Diner. Why not? My journey into German vegetarian food starts as expected, with carbs and cheese. John has yet to try the Berlin staple of currywurst. Still trying to get used to European ...

... where the club was. Bizarre and labyrinthine club with several floors and junk fixed to ceiling and walls everywhere.
    Friday 22nd:
Very lazy day after late night at Cross Club. Played guitar, looked at photos etc with B and L, Skyped Mum with the girls very shy. Packing heavy bags.

Apologies for the brief nature of this entry, I'm having trouble remembering when I did everything, as all the days are kind of blending into one as I travel.
