... the bathrooms on the grounds. That was a glorious day! *DONG* The big bell starts going again. Now, the sun has set and its almost completely dark out. With head lamps and some with candle lanterns in hand, we all slowly saunter yet again back to the meditation hall for 30 more minutes of enlightening meditation. We helped ourselves to the buffet but then realised that they had made Mike his own whole set of gluten free dishes. Very sweet. The food throughout was delicious with decent variety considering where we were and they always cooked something especially for Mike on top of the normal food he could already have.

But we find if we use all the utensils together we can sort of scoop and poke things back into our plates, one of us creating a barrier whilst the other corners unsuspecting bits of fish or whatever. It's a messy business, well, on our table anyway, and lucky there's a handbasin nearby. The broth gains flavour from the bits cooking on the lid and I think this is the best bit. Our canvas yurts had ensuite shower and toilet, for goodness sake! All details were arranged by our hosts: Elephant Hills. We trekked, took a longtail boat to a gorgeous swimming hole, kayaked to see snakes, and visited elephants retired from the logging industry. Meals and guide were included so we shut off our brains for three days.
