Thailand - Ko Lanta

A travel blog entry by tereza-gonzalo

... tickets on our own. These agencies rely on the fact that most departure points are too far away and an average tourist is too lazy to go and buy his own tickets, plus tourists usually travel under strict limitation of time. In general we have enough time but little money, but in Thailand the time and laziness were playing against us :(

In the end we decided to go for the minivan because it was a bit cheaper and we were also told that the driver would drop us off directly ...

Boxing with Beckham

A travel blog entry by krocodiletears

Want a David Beckham haircut. Which version? No problem -step inside. We can hear the guy in the room next to us retching - he was out partying last night. I guess booze is cheaper on Ko Lanta than in Folkestone. ****** for less. His girl friend has been doing volunteer work at the sanctuary for stray dogs. That said, the food was delicious and the green curry was possibly the best I have ever had - not bad considering that I cooked it. On the way home, we stopped off at a bar for a quick drink and then walked out to the road to get a passing ...

A travel blog entry by gthang

... acceptable form of wearing PJ's in public. We happily put on our Thai pants and 3$ tank tops, threw on a hat, then off to find a tuk tuk.

We scored a jazzed up tuk tuk with florescent lights. He dropped us off out front and we were quite impressed with how the outdoor restaurant transformed into such a romantic spot at nighttime. We skimmed the menu and were overwhelmed with options. Ok, focus. First choice is a cocktail. That was a no brainer once we spotted ...
