It is my second night staying with my host family in a small rice paddy village. At night time anything that bites, flies, crawls or slithers comes out to feast. There are these huge beetles that are totally harmless but very annoying. They fly blinding into you, onto your food with very little self control. ... our future, we are already talking about community living and returning to this project one day in the future. I must also mention Anja, a nun and Christians wife, who was locked away preparing for a presentation for most of the time, but when we did get to speak, was so friendly and wise, along with her cute little puppy Peanut, and the two kittens, they gave us a lot of enjoyment too over our time at the project. ... think about didnt bother. This time we take the easy option of the bus from just outside the hotel (Bus No 8, 9Bht each) and for about 40p it drops us off right outside the main entrance gate to Wat Nongwang.
We remove our shoes as prtocol demands and enter the main hall at ground level where Jai stop;s to pay her respects to the resident Buddha with flowers and incense sticks. We then make the climb to the top to enjoy the views back over ...

... We really enjoyed our time in Jen’s classroom.

That afternoon we enjoyed another Thai Massage in Jen’s village. She was nice enough to teach the woman running the massage parlor how to ask certain questions in English related to the massage,(ie. Does anything hurt? Will you change into these clothes please?) They were so grateful to Jen they gave us the “friend’s discount” and we were given a 2 hour message for 200 baht ...
