Up early, and off to Bobs 4wd centre. By just after 9 we were on our way - lovely people and we would use them every time if we lived in Coffs. At 7am we awoke to the sound of a text message confirming that our whale watching adventurer was on. We drove to the harbour and wrapped up in as many layers as we could; it was freezing. Our vessel was the Pacific Explorer Catamaran which rode out of the harbour into a very choppy sea. We scanned the horizon for the wisps of salt water as a result of the whales coming up for breath. Why do we have to leave? Minnie Water is perfection. It even has the best General Store, selling every useful camping, fishing and surfing needs. As, well as excellent coffee and scrumptious gluten free caramel slice. Heaven!
We tear ourselves away and head to Byron Bay to spend a night with Adam's Aunt and Uncle, Jane and John. Byron is on fire, blues festival, surf comps and dreadlocks galore.
