... for us too. There are three other men sitting on this side but at least they are all asleep. Fourth man sits at the end but he is not staring. He is too busy chain smoking Gauloises and speaking loudly on a mobile phone. I choose a table in the corner and try to make myself small meanwhile Ian orders two hot chocolates. The TV in the adjoining section is playing Assault on Precinct 13 very loudly. Not sure why it needs to be so loud, or indeed why the sound has to be on all. ...

The icicles on the tent gave away last night's temperature. It was freezing! I got up at sun rise to start the fire and get warm. Jareb and I then went on a two hour walk around the lake where we had camped next to. It was a lovely, serene walk. We passed the flocks of sheep coming down from the hills and were followed by Rocco a rather inquisitive dog from the nearby station. I returned exhausted ...
