Today Ash and I went up in the Eiffel Tower, walked to the Arc de Triomphe, the Moulin Rouge, Notre Dame, and most of Paris. It's the New Year! We tried to visit the Palace of Versailles today since the Louvre was closed, but the palace was closed too, so we only visited the gardens briefly. Then we headed to Notre Dame to see the inside, since yesterday the line was too long to wait to go in. Afterwards, we returned to the hotel to rest and eat. Tomorrow we head to the Louvre on our last day in Paris!!.
Today Ash and I visited the Louvre for most of the day and then went out to dinner with our new Texan friends at an Italian restaurant for out last night here. Then we headed back to the hotel to pack since we leave tomorrow!
Today Ash and I left Chris's flat to head into Paris, where we checked into our hotel, cleaned up, did some grocery shopping, and watched a movie.
... The cobblestone streets are full of mo-peds and tiny European cars. The sides of the streets have 8 story apartments. My favorite, though, are those with intricate balconies and overflowing flower baskets.
One of the things that surprised me about Paris is how many things that look so "Parisian" to me. Striped shirts, berets, baguettes, flowers, crepes, the Eiffel tower...the more I think about it, the more I feel I have to "do" to get the full ...
