Counting down.... only 6 days left until we leave on our road trip from Kernow to Kefalonia, can't wait to leave.

We are in the middle of last minute preparations for the drive, the kitchen has been turned into Mission HQ which just means that things are chaotic and there is quite a bit of swearing, mainly at laptops... and each other.

Slowly progress is being made on the never ending "To Do" list! we have a clean car, ...

It was all cobblestones and massive rock steps, you could easily break an ankle walking up and down that path! By the time we were finished there the tide had started to come up so we got to catch the boat back to the mainland. Both of which were incredibly well done. They had informational plaques introducing all the species of plants, and also themed decorations for the regions it was ...

I spent a lovely week in Cornwall over Christmas seeing my Mum each day and visiting various towns and villages near the Lizard where I was staying. The harbour at Coverack by night was a magical scene with Christmas lights and decorations illuminating the small fishing boats in the harbour. I also took a couple of walks to my favourite places anywhere in the world - Kynance Cove and Lizard Point. The sunsets at this time of the year are truly spectacular. ...

... the castle. Unfortunately it was not open, but you could still stroll around the fort bits on the hillside. Pretty impressive and nice for a wander. Again on such a beautiful sunny day, we were spoilt with views. Managed to spot another seal in the water aswell!

From here it was time to head home, but what a lovely few days of winter Cornish sun!
