Once again a very warm family welcome and Jessie’s Grandmother had cooked us a delicious lunch starting with vegetable terrene, then pork wrapped in bacon with vegetables, finishing with a pineapple desert. It was a lovely extended lunch with lots of laughing and hand gestures to make ourselves understood as the main language was Swiss German, with Jessie’s Grandmother ...

... all the way to Montreux and by then the weather had totally changed and had become rain, wind and rather chilly!!

The reason I wanted to see Montreux was that I had seen many photos of this place in winter time and it looked beautiful so decided to see it in real life.

This town was a disaster, never in my life have I ever known a place with so many one way streets. Some of them simply lead down to the beachfront and stop right there. ...
