very productive 2 weeks in SW at the Le Locle plant. accomplished lots of work. not much else during the week
really liked Switzerland - picked up a little French, much easier than Chinese! appreciated the politeness and crossants
... bottomed "toues" -- the bussling Canal du Centre with its lineup of barges waiting to navigate the many locks and the many "pecheurs" (fishermen) fishing for sport as opposed to their dinner! The deep and fast flowing Soane River with the speed boats remind us of home!

... a major regeneration of its town and businesses. It had a very smart English looking church and then we followed signs to find the Abbey. It was nice to see an ancient Abbey (as Henry V111 demolished all ours) and it looked in good repair but we could only see them from the outside. It was a bad weather forecast for rain showers followed by thunderstorm and lightning but for us it was another "Gibraltar morning" (when Isi was stationed there it was boring as every morning was the same with blue sky and sunshine) of bright sunshine and good temperature.
