We are just too lazy and given Mike's report to us since ("fabulous, but i couldn't walk for 2 days afterwards") perhaps it was the right decision. But we guaranteed Mike's visit to us back in the UK by sending all our accumulated souvenirs to his mum, on the understanding he bring our portion down to us next winter. Thanks for everything Mike.

Pedang Bai
We left Belangan today. We had to drive 2 hours to Pedang Bai to catch the ferry over to Lombok. We opted to spend $5 for a 5 hour slow boat instead of $50 for a 2 hour boat. I regretted this decision after the first hour of sitting on the floor/hard benches of the jam packed ferry. After the boat ride we still had a 1.5 drive to Kuta, Lombok. So it made for a LONGGGG ...
