Change in plans

... out in the 'wild' for two nights. I will have to carry up my own backpack, while the porters will take care of tents, sleeping equipment, food and water. Fortunately I will be able to leave part of my luggage in a cabin at the bottom of the hill and am hoping to depart with no more then 10 kg in my backpack. I doubt that I will have internet out in the bush, but I shall update the blog with new pictures once I get back on the 3rd! Looking forward to the new adventure! ...

Oh well hopefully at least a local Indonesian child might now discover the joy of rugby. Walking from the beach we got to the dirt road. All the Gili Islands have no roads as there is no motorised transport. Instead everyone gets around by foot, bike or horse. The horses here are sad. They ...

... including me who was sitting right next to her was bone dry. As we set foot on terra firma we where immediately set apon by locals trying to sell us all manor of trinkets or sort us out with a taxi, but we where looking for the guy who would try to rent us a bike. In no time at all he found us and after a bit of haggling we had struck a deal. Hands where shook enthusiastically and broad grins where exchanged as well as a bit too much tatty money. While we ...
