After hiking around, we went back to the van and continued our ride to Fethiye. It took about 3 hours to get there, but was a great drive. It is very similar to Big Sur - roads along the curves of the mountains with precipitous drops to the ocean. The only difference is that the ocean is an amazing aquamarine color.

We stay in Fethiye for the next two days so will have more to report then!

Today we embarked on a boat trip to see the 12 islands lying around the Aegean coastline. We were instructed to wait at the side of the main road to be collected for the trip between 10.30 and 10.45, but true to Turkish timings and following an anxious phone call to the excursion company by my mum, we were collected just before 11. ... made. It's absolutely ridiculous to think they are all hand made. We watched a few ladies for a while. They work 30 mins on and 30 off and only work for 3 hours a day. Can take them two years to finish one carpet! At the end of the day some of us boys went with Barish to a local barber for a shave and a haircut. Never had a razor blade shave so it was a good experience. They throw this lemon stuff on your face after though and it stings like a *****. Oh they also burn the ...
