... there over the border to Sluis in Netherlands. Then we went north to the beach to the richest town in Belgium, Knokke- Heist. This town attracts rich people because they have great tax rates. Apparently there are four governments in Belgium in charge of three regions plus a Federal Government. This means that taxes vary region to region. Interesting since Belgium is quite a small country. ... out at the bar with some locals. There was a Belgian artist playing music there that night so it was pretty crowded. A stand out thing we have noticed about Belgium is the living arrangements. People either live in the city in houses or apartments that snare a wall or they live in farm country where there are hills and not many neighbors. There is no in between suburbs like at home. This would be a day of Bs. Waking up in Brussels and seeing some more of it before taking the train to Bruges, all of it in Belgium.
