... Just checked the temperature on the internet and it's 25' dropping to 17' over night. Just got home to bed at 11.45pm. Wow, what a magnificent city this is at night, with the lights on the beautiful buildings. We are pretty sure that a couple of the towers are leaning about 5 degrees. We walked to San Marco square for dinner and it's spectacular. A large open paved rectangular area surrounded in all sides by beautiful buildings. There were four sets of ...

... the best gelati shop in the world!!! I kid you not!! Gelateria K2. Weird name, down a side street, but the man was making the gelati as we ate, in the back kitchen. The display didn't look that appetising as most of the flavours were a bit out there, but the taste was something else. I had a nougat and coffee with yoghurt and cherry syrup!!!! Yum!!!! We've started to get a bit blasé about the buildings, another church spire, bell ...

Day #6 Istanbul, Turkey: "Classical Istanbul": Woke up this morning just before the 5:30 a.m. alarm. We had an hour longer to get ready. Our call to the theater was at 8:15 a.m. Our tour was with a group of 40. I considered booking the small group tour instead but I'm not sure it would have made any difference. Istanbul was crowded. Not just crowded. It was swamped. There were 8 buses from our ship doing the ...
