    ... water, we ducked into a shady cafe to cool off with an early spritz. Much more civilised.

    Seranading gondoliers, with the occupants of the gondola happily taking pictures of us taking pictures of them!

    Dinner by the main waterway where a cool breeze was appreciated, then off to a performance of Vivaldi's Four Seasons at Chiesa S. Vidal. A wonderful evening.

    After breakfast, we boarded our water taxi and went to see a glass blowing demonstration
    at a local glass factory. It's an incredible art, but the prices were rather high. Some of the pieces were just stunning, but we were a few thousand euros short in our budget!

    ... some of the many glass shops which had lots of jewelry, decorations, etc made from glass. We also visited a few masquerade shops. One of them designed the masks for the movie Eyes Wide Shut. Pretty amazing masks I must say. I bought one to wear on Halloween. Stopped for pasta, wine, and dessert. We were all on cloud nine. What a great day full of sites, food, and fun.
