    ... and wondering the many tourist hot spots we settle for some bruschetta and red wine! Sooo relaxing until I get shat on by a pigeon, that's ok I can handle that.     ... they were born, I don't think I have been this excited to see them. It is good to be home. To have our kids and our dogs back, to sleep in our own bed and relax in our own space.     ... near San Marco, the water and the streets leading to the Rialto bridge. We wander through small streets and cross smaller canals. Many homes have both a street and water entrance.     ... reception area and it just kept getting better. We have a canal front room and it is really nice. It is a corner room right on the edge of the canal. Open the window up and you are over the canal (not the Grand Canal but a side street). Once we had settled in we went exploring and did a full circuit loop. We decide on the latter and travel in comfort through the small interconnecting canals as he cuts across, re-reaching the Grand Canal just near our hotel at the Santa Maria del Giglio landing.
