Other than the Muslim-Malay locals, we also saw Muslim-Arabs tending to their restaurants. Most of the restaurants and textiles shops are owned by the Muslim-Arabs community. Their outfit was not any different than the Malays. The men wore either a 'baju kurung' top with long pants and the women wear loose-fitting dresses with tudung. The men who were clad in sarong were mostly the elderly.

... has changed from 20 years ago till now. The changes that Singapore has made, the improvements and the design of the place. For locals, as we went there in the morning so mostly we saw housewives shopping for groceries and workers starting up their business for the day.

... Wellington, I wear them and people think I’m insane. Mannie and Meryck needed to go to the bank for a couple of hours and left me to shop. I ended up shopping for Indian clothes in a huge shopping centre which had the most insanely beautiful dresses beyond anything I had ever seen.
