    ... But a 1/2 day jaunt by Australian distances. I'd booked a cheap B&B as I would only be there 1 night and the next day I met up with a second cousin (or is that 1st cousin once removed??). Anyway, Marlene's grandfather and my grandfather were brothers. Marlene has always kept in contact with her "Uncle Billy", but this was the first time we'd met.     ... It's got lots of shops which range from supermarkets to famous sausage butchers and brand name outlets to lovely dress shops. The pretty river Ribble runs around the town and the moors form a back drop. The caravan park is right next to the river so I just have to walk through a gate in the hedge to reach the river bank.     ... Leisure Park. We were expecting a nice relaxing time after the time we had at the Haven site in Porthmadog. How wrong can you be! It seems that dogs are not welcome at all on this site and aren't allowed anywhere near the central entertainment hub. Oh well we are only here till Wednesday, should have been Friday but we have to return to Birmingham and then back to Harlech by the end of the week. Man we like ...

    ... Should we stay were we are? Too late now as we have a site booked in Cumbria from Sunday to Friday. Horrible journey but as we hit Southport we thought at least we are here and it looks as if it might be ok as there were signs for a 'music and fireworks extravaganza'. Theres a site!
