Spent the first part of the morning sorting a new sim card so we can communicate, then it was exploring the local village on both sides of the island, weaving our way around the narrow streets and the shops dotted in all sorts of places. Certainly a tourist town with lots of restaurants to choose from and huge markets and you ...

We return to Split and check into our very quaint hotel , the Hotel Peristil, inside the walls of the Diocletian Palace. It is a few steps away from the Silver door but also has its own tiny door in the wall. The walls outside are 1700 years old . On previous visits here we were able to drop anchor in the Bay but this time there was a strong breeze from the wrong direction so we had to go to the luxurious (private and expensive) Marina Frapa. Dianne and Ursula went to the swimmingpool for a swim -10 €uro per person. They found it a bit too expensive and preferred diving into the sea on the way to buy ...

... try see even a tiny bit of Croatia. There is so much more of the country to see that I'd love to see - another trip though. Back to the Jade for our last night on board. We had some left over wine cards so ordered wine on the deck with our group and watched the sail away from Croatia.

We had booked at the Teppanyaki tonight which turned out to be great fun. The steak was the best I'd ever had. It was cooked to perfection. This was well worth ...
