Day 27 Monday, June 8, 2015 Split to Trogir

It's Monday morning. We are off again. A quick walk down to the waterfront and we buy tickets on the ferry to Trogir. The ride is 1+ hours and the cost is a whole $4.00 per person each way. Trogir is another of the small islands along the coast of Croatia. It has been call a mini Split due to its small medieval streets and very old structures. We will ...

... distance was into a wind of about 4 knots. Our speed was 6.5 miles per hour. After arriving, we launched the dingy and rode to the town quay. We walked through the town and then clockwise around the island from the end of the causeway. Before we came to Croatia, we had no idea that one of the world's biggest parties, the Ultra Festival, was taking place in Split during our stay. The city was packed with young people ...

... Suzana's mum's place where we found the most tender roast veal, very well cooked carrot and beans and cauliflower and the best potatoes I've ever tasted waiting in front of our mouth-watering mouths! As a special treat, there was a traditional dish made of potato and a special kind of cabbage that you can't get in Australia which made it even more special. I even went back for seconds!! And, of course, which meal wouldn't be complete without ...

... As we were early we decided to pull into a little bay on the way and have a swim. It was perfect. We all jumped off to end into 40m deep blue water and floated around for a while. We made it into port first, and it was a really nice port tucked away in between trees with the bluest water about 10m deep. We moored up then everyone went for a swim. Somehow we found the Canadian guys who we met in split, they were really cool. That afternoon we went to the beach abut a ...
