... on with our day. The plan had been to drive four kilometers toward the main road where we had seen another trail leading to the series of seven waterfalls and pools that this park is named for. When we arrived at the trailhead, a gate locked the entrance to the trail, while barbed wire fences further secured the area (they read our minds....we DEFINITELY would've hopped the fence otherwise!) ... swimming pools are almost resort like! There is a statue of the Virgin Mary at the top that over looks the city and protects it. There are massive gardens and an amphitheater where I'm assuming they hold giant masses. There is a funicular that goes up one side of the mountain but we wanted to walk it. Once we got to the bottom we had lunch at a place called Galindas in Barrio Bella vista, the food was awesome! ...
