The first port of call on our SE Asian adventure was Bali, the usual Kuta/Legian area which is all too easy to lob (back) into and settle into a general go slow routine where good intentions turn into 'gee is it really noon already and we haven't left the hotel yet'. ... it's pretty much their Benidorm. There's tacky stuff everywhere and the shop workers are relentless. Every five steps there's another one pretty much pushing you into their shop of offering you drugs of some kind so it got annoying after about 8 seconds.
