    ... it was and couldn't quite bring myself to try it... although IM sure my brother would have if he was there! One thing on the grill that was interesting was green onions wrapped in bacon. I make an appetizer with asparagus and a bit of cheese wrapped in proscuitto which would be quite similar. They weren't ready though so we moved on.. to gelato : ) All in all a great day and a nice evening.

    So we arrived in Palermo and we stayed with Rijsbrecht and Aretia for a couple of days. We couldn't have had a better host as he is amazing at preparing Italian food! The evening we arrived he made us a simple but unbelievable pasta with aubergines and tomatoe sauce.
