... for our gourmet meals, tasted a couple of their 400 beers they produce, enjoyed their cafes and took a canal tour to learn a bit more about the city. It was occupied during the war but not bombed, so it had loads of old world charm.
One of their churches houses one of the 3 remaining statues of 'Madonna and Child", so we enjoyed the cafe on the street, while Helen popped in for a gander.

... and behold we found a bakery shop and bought a nice bread roll with sultanas very nice and we might have converted Bev to be lover of bread too. We found our way to the city centre. We located where we could catch the "tourist bus" and visit other sites for the next day. ... to sample a few more beers from its staggeringly huge menu (Jaclyn's selection, the Duvel Tripel Hop, was a favorite). Afterwards, we met our host, Hady, who immediately felt like an old friend in the best possible way. We were chatting comfortably the second we met, and she prepared a hearty dinner for us before leading us to Café Vlissinghe, Bruges' oldest pub, founded in 1515.

... side of town along the canal to see a park with sheep in it... Sans sheep. Disappointed I copped a squat in the shrubbery. It's stupid that we have to pay for the privilege to use the toilet, I'm determined to hold out as long as possible, even if it means doing the sneaky.
I took the long way to the windmills and sat in the park to eat lunch, which I got free again on behalf of the hostel this morning. Though with this place I'm more cautious because its like ...
... plays a pretty tune on the hour and we have been to a Salvador Dali exhibition, which was amazing.
Interesting fact: Salavador Dali designed the wrappers of Chupa Chups Lollies!!
