... my delight!

Both the cocktails and six course feast that we were served were delicious and was easily the best meal we had whist island hopping. Our waitress was also the friendliest Thai person we've ever met, even joining in with our photo taking and generally keeping us entertained throughout the meal. It was a lovely way to finish up our two weeks with the girls and last night in Thailand before we catch yet another night train back to Malaysia to continue our travels ...

... of Pimalai. Wandered into the village in the afternoon, but nothing much to buy, but did find a roadside stall selling real coffee, it was delicious, and served in a plastic bag just how I love it. Back to the villa for more swimming and relaxing, then room service for dinner! Deep fried sea bass on thick red curry sauce for David, and I had green curry with chicken and vegetables. Outstanding. Had a Provence Rose with dinner. Lovely ...

... have ever seen!

Lunch was a vegetable curry and rice and fresh watermelon and pineapple for dessert, and we had a bit of time to wander the beach and shake off our sealegs and take it all in. You realise just why it takes several plane journeys, a taxi and two boat trips to see such a wonderful place. Sometimes in life you actually do get out what you put in, and we can honestly say it was worth every last second to get here!

What an amazing day.

... would have to do,but we have been so spoiled by all the wonderful cooks on Lanta, like Din and Cha Cha that it makes us miss them already. We scarf back the dinner, and wander off down the BUSY street, with the smells of the city engulfing us in the evening heat, needless to say we didn't last long and we were home in our big bed in Eden, looking forward to a good nights sleep after what seemed like a long day. The next day started with an early walk on the beach, before the ...

The 'Getaway' island

... especially like the beaches back in Patong. Also another thing that stood out to me being on the beach, that there was no annoying local thai people selling handmade crafts, Rayban (the real deal ones obviously - not) this hidden secret gem of an island was a sanctuary. A memory that will stand out for me being in Ko Lanta was walking along the beach and doing one of those classic original jumping photos along the beach on the seafront. I must say ...
