... wegen eines Sicherheitsrisikos aber die Auflagefläche ist viel kleiner was sich im Sand als ungünstig erweist. Er zeigte mir dann noch 2 Reifen mit den richtigen Dimensionen. Beide waren aber schon gebrauchte. Ich fragte was er dafür noch wolle. 8% Rabatt für einen gebrauchten! Definitiv nein.
3. Der eine Reifen war 9 Jahre alt. Man sollte so alte Reifen nicht mehr benutzen.

Today, we made the "grand premiere of traveling by bus during the day. It took us the whole day to go Samsun, but the trip was really enjoyable while we could admire Turkey's wonderful landscapes and seaside. The landscape on the right was a wonderful sea. And on the left we saw very cute villages in the hills, all of them with one nice white mosque and its elongated, tall and thin white minaret. As we went deeper into Turkey, ...
... However, we we done with the visit, we stopped by another place near the mountains by the seaside. To look at the typical Ottomans house with the balcony stick out and the supports bearing the balcony against the wall. I will see more of these in Safranbolu as I'm told.So we left again to go to Samsun. During the drive, we joked about the Samsun and Samsung. It was quite funny.
Arrived Samsun, there were mazes of little one way (some both ways) streets..Hotel was well ...
... Turkish words we had learned in our short trip - the words for thank you / How much? / slow / stop / water / Do you speak English? / anice-based alcohol / meatballs / tea / yogurt / etc. It's amazing how fast you can learn when you are forced to. We also thought back over the friendly people we had met, who were so patient with our poor Turkish and accommodating with our hand gestures.
... of the main cities on the Black Sea, which I'm determined to explore properly before continuing on. It's very hot, but I decide to try to walk from the bus station to the city (despite previous bad experiences trying to do this in Turkey!) I'm rewarded by a shady park, a cozy city center and a decent cafeteria style restaurant where I can "look and pick"--my favorite way of eating here in Turkey.
Next I head up to the Black Sea ...
