    ... Greek city of Heraclea Lyncestis, founded by Philip II of Macedon in the 4th Century BC. Next we have lunch and a wine tasting at the Tikves Winery in Kavadarci.     ... in itself - the path winds along the cliff, cut out of the cliff itself, high above the river with a sheer drop between the opath and the green river below. At some points where the path is narrow and the drop is sheer there was a rail; at others, there was a chain bolted to the cliff face to hold onto.     ... Maalo (the "new neighbourhood," now a shopping centre) and the Memorial Centre of the Holocaust of Jews in the old Jewish quarter. At end of the 19th C, Skopje expanded settlement to the right bank of the Vardar River. Before, it had only been on the left bank. The 1963 earthquake changed everything. Some buildings that look decrepit now were destroyed that day and never rebuilt.
