      ... countries in case of shutdowns or travel problems for the 2nd Christmas in 2 weeks.

      We reserved a room at Hostel 42, a newer and basic hostel. It was small but we liked it. The staff treated us well with tea and "Macedonian" coffee. We laugh because each country that adds the finely ground coffee to the water directly and waits for it to settle calls it their own. Turkish coffee, Bosnian coffee, Serbian coffee, Kosovo coffee, ...

      ... being the biggest exporter of wheat to Macedonia was pretty ****** off and subsequently taxed all Macedonian products that came into Kosovo. Macedonia then charged any Kosovars who crossed the border, 5 Euro. Kosovo banned all Macedonian products from entering their country; and then the Macedonian truckies cracked the s**ts and parked their trucks in the way of the border and ended any trade at all between the countries.
