We drove about 400 miles today. A little further than we had wanted, but we relaxed when we arrived. We are in a very nice RV park, Arkadelphia RV Park. We have driven through much farmland. Soybeans, corn and now some cotton fields. Farmers are praying for dry weather and wind to dry out their fields. The further south we came, the fields are drying enough and the farmers are busy with their ...

... 5 minutes apart from our respective travels...we from Branson, MO and they from Dallas!

After setting up our camps, Barbie and Aldon joined us for BBQ rib dinner. The weather was perfect, the bugs stayed away and we ended our gab fest about 11 PM.

... we leave here, and looking forward to that.

Still doing a lot of online reviewing of motorhomes for sale - wondering what awaits us once we get to Texas!

Per Shanna Wimpee - next time we're here we should check out Lake Ouachita State Park - full hookups, 50 amp power, right on the lake (Site 25. Loop A.), current price $30/night. We'll take a ride out and check that out one day, too, as long as we're here!

... a full scale replica of the Oval Office and the Cabinet Room. The timeline displays are excellent. There's even a penthouse suite on top of the library when the Clinton's come to town. Dad could have spent a day here reading every detail (no surprise), but we managed to do it in 3 hours with a tour and revisiting the high points. We also took time to visit the Heifer Project International ...

Friday, Oct. 25th drove to Lake Ouachita State Park outside of Hot Springs. Had a nice walk in the morning. The park suffered a big impact from a tornado that went right through the park 3 years. ago. Just OK place. Next day drove to Hot Springs and Hot Springs National Park.....disappointing really. The park consists of the the row of bathhouses. We ...
