... were much more like the British and French Palaces with gentle meadows, manicured walkways and natural lakes. It was most pleasant and far less opulent than the previous Peterhof palace in the surrounding parklands. It seemed to have a more traditional feel to it. There was rain on the last day, as if the city was sorry to see us go. I'm sad to leave too, St. Petersburg, but I hope we will meet again one day. I hope I’ll be back one day for the White Nights or to take the Trans-Siberian Railroad or, if things work out, for business.
